The second meeting of the "Overcoming Isolation" support group will take place on September 29th. The group is geared toward people age 55 - 80+. At this time, meetings are scheduled for every other Wednesday morning at 9:45.  The next meeting will be on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at the JCCDC (110 S. Grand Ave., Poughkeepsie). Meetings last about one hour   The group will continue on alternate Wednesday mornings and is open to new members on an ongoing basis. 

There is no fee, but a $10 per session donation is requested.  The group
is led by Dr. Linda Tafapolsky, Licensed Psychologist, and Mr. Lee
Corwin, psychotherapist.  For further information, please contact Jewish

Commentary on "Why Israel doesn't care about Peace"

The Northern Dutchess Jewish Book Club will meet on Wednesday, October 13th, at 7pm , after all the holidays at 48 Rokeby Road, Red Hook.

The book will be
The Man in the White Sharkskin Suit: A Jewish Family's Exodus from Old Cairo to the New World"" by Lucette Matalon Lagnado. It was published by Harper in paperback in 2008, received a prestigious award  and is widely available.
