BLOGGING JEWISH IN DUTCHESS
An old Chinese popular saying states “may you live in interesting times”, but by “interesting” they don't mean something that will tease your curiosity and imagination, but something that will challenge the very foundation of your rational thinking. In that sense, we are unfortunately living in “interesting times”. We live in times when the rules of intellectual honesty and empathy for others appears to be on the way out to be replaced by selfish self-interest and Machiavellian justification of our actions.
