BLOGGING JEWISH IN DUTCHESS
When my dog was a small puppy, I used to sometimes keep him entertained by using a laser pointer. I moved the light around and he would chase it back an forth, spending his energies chasing something he could not grab.
As he became older he eventually figured out that the laser light was coming from the pen size laser pointer I had in my hand, so every time he would see the light, he would look at my hand. He still chased the light just for fun.
Eventually, he determined that the light was not something he could grab, so every time he sees the light, he comes and starts giving me puppy kisses in my hand (the one holding the laser pointer). I believe there is something to be learned from my dog and his love affair with the laser pointer.
