A Story that will make you feel good
As part of the efforts on behalf of the 2009 JFDC/UJC Community Campaign, we are holding a special program featuring guess speaker Sophie Ambrose, who grew up in the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas with no contact with other Jews nor Judaism. She will share with us the story of her journey to reclaim her heritage. If you have not yet made your commitment to the 2009 Community Campaign, you will have the opportunity to make it. There is a minimum expected Campaign commitment of $ 250. Saturday October 17, 7PM at Casperkill. RSVP is required - call 471-9811 or email director@jewishdutchess.org

NOVEMBER 1- THANK YOU EVENT
|
- the Jewish Federation wants to say THANK YOU
FILLING UP FAST!! - CALL TODAY
The Jewish Federation of Dutchess County is your representative in the global partnership of the Jewish people to take care for those in need, rescue those in danger and secure the Jewish future. We provide for Jewish Education, for elderly services, for Aliyah and absorption, for the care of vulnerable Jewish populations in the former USSR, in Ethiopia, in South America, and so much more. But none of it would be possible without a community providing us with its support. Our accomplishments are yours, and that is why we want to say "Thank you" in a special way.
On November 1st, from 2 PM tp 4PM, at the JCCDC, comedians Johnny Lampert and Sherry Davey bring their Shtik to Poughkeepsie as a Thank You from the Federation to you. The program is free and there will be no solicitation. Since the seating is limited, however, RSVP is required. Call (845) 471-9811 or email the Jewish Federation to let us know you're coming. Look for more details on the October issue of The Voice
This program is made possible in part thanks to funding from the Irving and Gloria Schlossberg Family Fund at the Community Foundation of Dutchess County
