BLOGGING JEWISH IN DUTCHESS
Sometimes it is very difficult to choose the theme for my weekly blog, and sometimes it just presents itself. This week, a Knesset member chose to call Reform and Conservative Rabbis “clowns” and to state that “they do not exist”. It so happen, this week the Torah portion to be read in synagogues describes how Moses sent the spies to scout the land and how they came back – all but two – with very negative opinions about the feasibility of settling there. There is a system to my madness...both issues are indeed related...
