BLOGGING JEWISH IN DUTCHESS  

What do two Sabras, refugees from Libya, Poland, Latvia and Romania, immigrants from the US and a survivor from the Warsaw ghetto uprising have in common? They were representing Israel in 1972 at the Munich Olympic Games and never came back to their loved ones.

Forty years after the Munich massacre, the International Olympic Committee refuses to honor the 11 Olympic victims of terrorism; a Palestinian who financed the operation holds a high office in the Palestinian Authority; the mastermind of the attack died of natural causes and one of the perpetrators is still at large. Yet in London 2012, there will be (was not by the time you read this) a simple minute of silence to mark the anniversary.
