BLOGGING JEWISH IN DUTCHESS
I recently ran across an article in which they described a situation that was rather unusual. An Orthodox Jew living in Belgium took to court a Jewish School for Girls, Benoth Jeruzalem, to force them to accept the registration of his two boys as students. This obviously led me to first raise my eyebrows and I couldn't help but ask myself why would an Orthodox Jew want to register his boys in an religious school for girls?. As I kept reading, I learned that every other Orthodox Jewish school in town refused to register his boys. Curiouser and curiouser...Why would they do that? Who is this Orthodox Jew (Moshe Friedman) anyway that the Orthodox community in Belgium doesn't want to be associated with him? I did learn about him...but that raised more questions... KEEP READING
