A New Year is just a convention marking the end of one cycle and the beginning of the next. As Jews, we have several New Years, including Passover and the upcoming Tu B'Shevat, along with the actual Rosh HaShanah and even a couple more. We're now approaching the secular New Year, marked by the Gregorian Calendar...

 

And a New Year is always an opportunity to take stock on what we have done well (or not-so-well) in the prior twelve months, and to imagine what we can accomplish in the next twelve months. This is not as easy as it sounds...
