WOODSTOCK FILM FESTIVAL FEATURES ISRAELI FILMS

JEWISH FEDERATION OF DUTCHESS COUNTY CO-SPONSORS

The Woodstock Film Festival will feature two Israeli films in their September showing. The films are screened with the main sponsorship of the Consulate General of Israel inNew York. Both films are of very recent release and highlight the growing quality of Israeli film making.

The Jewish Federation of Dutchess County will co-sponsor the event and starting in our next email we will give you full information on the Festival, which holds some of their screenings in Rhinebeck.

The movies scheduled to be shown are "Fat cows, lean cows" and "The dolphin boy" - Check Jewish in Dutchess next week for more details!

We heard before the weekend about the possibility of Hurricane Irene making it this way to the Hudson Valley...and how did people react? Just as expected: many started waiting in line at the pump and stocking up food; the Home Depot put on sale a line of emergency survival kits in a backpack, etc, etc.
