JAND launches Northern Dutchess Book Club

The Jewish Alliance of Northern Dutchess, in an ongoing effort to promote Jewish life in the Rhinebeck/Redhook area invites you to the first meeting of the Northern Dutchess Book Club.

Help a Jewish School win $ 500,000

Charlotte Jewish Day School, an elementary school with roughly 110 students, is currently ranked 13^th in a national competition established by Kohl's. The department store chain began a contest in July to see which schools across the country can collect the most votes on Facebook by September 3. The top 20 vote-getting schools will each receive $500,000.

CJDS is the only school in the state ranked in the top 20 and it's competing against schools 10 times its size in much larger markets like Miami and New York.The school's efforts have been covered in local and national media.

But to win this competition CJDS needs help from the entire community. The school is asking everyone to VOTE FOR CHARLOTTE. Simply go to www.votecjds.com and follow the instructions. Each person with a Facebook account can cast five votes for CJDS.

Ten out of the top 20 are Jewish schools, with the Charlotte Jewish Day School being the only Jewish community school.
