On November 1st - the Jewish Federation wants to say THANK YOU

The Jewish Federation of Dutchess County is your representative in the global partnership of the Jewish people to take care for those in need, rescue those in danger and secure the Jewish future. We provide for Jewish Education, for elderly services, for Aliyah and absorption, for the care of vulnerable Jewish populations in the former USSR, in Ethiopia, in South America, and so much more. But none of it would be possible without a community providing us with its support. Our accomplishments are yours, and that is why we want to say "Thank you" in a special way.

On November 1st, comedians Johnny Lampert and Sherry Davey bring their Shtik to Poughkeepsie as a Thank You from the Federation to you. The program is free and there will be no solicitation. What you always wanted to know about Judaism but you were afraid to ask, you can ask now. We are encouraging people to send us questions for the Rabbis tu publish in "The Voice" . The Voice is your community newspaper and we want your questions. Please email them to The Voice Editor, Rebecca Kent. Please write "Ask a Rabbi" in the subject line. Questions will be published without mention of who sent them.
