 WHEELCHAIRS NEEDED FOR MEDICAL LENDING

Most of you know that the Medical Lending Service is a program of the Federation through the Jewish Family Services that makes available Medical equipment to people who need it at no cost to the client. We are currently experiencing a shortage of wheelchairs. If you borrowed a wheelchair from the service and do not longer need it or if you have a wheelchair you would like to donate, we can use them! Please bring them to the office, located inside the JCCDC on Grand Avenue. We have been turning away people in need for lack of equipment, and we would very much like to be able with your help to meet the needs. Thank you.

BLOGGING JEWISH IN DUTCHESS

On July 22, 2011, a bomb went off on Market street in the Norweigan capital of Oslo, and shortly afterwards, a lone shooter started killing teenagers at the Norwegian Labor Party Youth Camp in the Utoya Island.

Almost immediately, before anybody even was clear about what was hapenning, a statement was issued by Abu-Suleiman Al-Nasser, leader of a group called "Helpers of Global Jihad", claiming responsibility and stating that it was the beginning of the retribution forAfghanistan and for the insults on the Prophet Mohammed. Then they retracted the claim of responsibility.
