Stories. Song. Survival.

Join us on Sunday, June 28 for an extraordinary evening with Leibel Lazaroff, survivor of the Bondi Beach massacre.

Just six months ago, Leibel was shot twice during the Bondi Beach terror attack after rushing to help a wounded police officer and using his own shirt to stop the bleeding. He spent nearly eight weeks in an Australian hospital and underwent 11 surgeries.

Through personal testimony and music, Leibel will share his journey of survival, resilience, faith, and choosing light in the face of darkness.

Presented by Chabad of Mid-Hudson Valley in collaboration with the Jewish Federation of Dutchess County.

Everyone is welcome. Open to all. Light refreshments will be served.

RSVP required | Admission: $36 per person

Leibel was raised in Houston, Texas, where his parents served as Chabad directors at Texas A&M University. In 2025, he accepted a rabbinical internship at Chabad of Bondi Beach, Australia, helping lead programs for youth, teens, and young adults. On December 14, 2025, while directing Chabad of Bondi’s Chanukah by the Sea celebration, Leibel found himself at the center of a devastating terrorist attack. In the midst of the chaos, he chose courage over fear, a decision that would forever change his life. Having survived the attack and the loss of his beloved mentor, Rabbi Eli Schlanger, Leibel now shares a powerful message of faith, resilience, and Jewish pride with audiences around the world. Blending live music with personal storytelling, inspires audiences to face adversity with strength, embrace their identity with confidence, and discover meaning even in life’s most difficult moments.
