Online Family Trees and Legal Issues
The talk reviews the legal issues with regard to online publication of genealogical informaiton. Renol will demonstrate that what we call right to privacy has little or nothing to do with what geneologists do. Genealogical data should seldom give rise to any claim for invasion of privacy, since these facts are typically neither private and neither offensive nor objectionable to a resonable person. Presented by the Jewish Genealogical Society of Illinois.
