What can old letters reveal about the people we once were?

Join us for a special Learn & Lunch Bunch with author Ruth Zelig as she discusses Letters from Brazil, the story of a friendship sustained through twenty years of correspondence after Ruth left Brazil as a teenager. Decades later, rereading the letters with her childhood friend Elana opened a window into their younger selves and the different lives they built across countries and cultures. Ruth will share how the letters became a memoir and what they revealed about memory, migration and a friendship that endured across time and distance.

This program is part of our 2026–2027 Jewish Author Series in partnership with the Jewish Book Council. Lunch will be served. Registration is required, and books will be available for purchase.
