Chuck Mishaan, noted Hudson Valley lecturer, will lead the discussion with clips and commentary of noir films and their times from the 1920's - 50's.

Chuck Mishaan has been lecturing for many years on the intellectual, political and artistic history of Western Europe from the Enlightenment to the present. He has presented his popular lectures on ‘Opera as Politics,’ ‘The Roaring 20s''Between the Wars: Arts and Culture of the 1930s’, ‘The War and After: Arts and Culture of the 1940s’, and ‘Authoritarianism and the Arts’. He is currently presenting at several Hudson Valley campuses, including Bard College, Vassar College, Marist and SUNY New Paltz, as well as at other public and private venues.
