  • Sunday, April 18, 1:00 pm - Lunch & Learn North

    We are very excited to relaunch our Lunch & Learn North program this spring with presenter Dr. Bruch Chilton from Bard College. During a time of unique cultural and political challenge in the United States we will investigate unique contributions of women within the traditions of Judaism and Christianity to a human, peaceful future. Week by week, women from both traditions will be paired in a comparative analysis this week is The Early Modern Period, Francesa Sarah of Safed & Theresa of Avila.

  • Wednesday, April 28, 7:00 pm - Movie Night In

    The Spy Behind Home Plate tells the story of Moe Berg, an enigmatic Jewish catcher during baseball's Golden Age who joined the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) to spy for the U.S. on the Nazi's atomic bomb program. Aviva Kempner, writer and director, makes award-winning documentary films about under-known Jewish heroes for over forty years: The Spy Behind Home Plate, Rosenwald, Yoo-Hoo, Mrs. Goldberg, the Peabody winner The Life and Times of Hank Greenberg, and Partisans of Vilna.

  • Wednesday, May 12, 11:30 - Learn & Lunch Bunch

    Count Me In! with Rabbi Vicki Axe - As we count 500,000+ people who lost their lives to COVID, we are reminded how every person counts for something powerful and unique. We can be counted for acts that are hurtful and insensitive, or we can be counted for acts that are affirming and compassionate. I choose the second: Count Me In! Rabbi Axe served as rabbi, cantor, and educator for Congregation Shir Ami of Greenwich, Connecticut.
